My Story

Roberto Peikrishvili was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. He spent his childhood in the old quarter of the city of Tbilisi, which influenced the inspiration in his works, the colors of the old quarter, with its tiny yards and hanging balconies which   particularly impressed him. But what made him decide to be a painter was one special case when his classmate invited him home, and he saw paintings that really amazed him.
One oil painting that caught his eye and it could not be ignored was this painting of a single tree standing alone, in the fall, colors of yellow and golden mustard, as if depicting one of the motifs of Shakespeare, which led him to make a decision as the most important goal is to learn to draw and express himself through painting.
Graduate of the Government Academy of graphic design in 1983, since 1985 a member of the Georgian artists union, he participated in a large number of national exhibitions and international exhibitions throughout the former Soviet Union. Since 1994 he lives in Israel, where he began to develop a new direction to his paintings.
The paintings have changed their meaning, as well as convening his mood. In many of the paintings you can feel an Enigma, a puzzle that an observer can solve in its own unique way, relating it to his life. Paintings by Roberto Peikrishvili you can notice a lot of graphic elements that give his paintings higher dynamics.
Like in the graphics so also in the drawing he is looking for new techniques and not afraid to change his style of color that can be noticed in many of his works. Since 2002 a member of the Israeli painters association, his first personal exhibition in Israel was in the city of Rishon-Lezion, named "From Tbilisi to Jerusalem".
Roberto Peikrishvili's paintings have multiple elements, colors, icons and they have the key to making sense of the painting, they return on themselves repeatedly in his drawings and remind on the subject, on which the drawing was. Paintings by Roberto Peikrishvili cause some people to marvel, to be curious or just think about themselves and on life.
